Maybe you're not thrilled with your job.
Maybe you didn't get the promotion you wanted. Or it feels like your manager is dumping one task after another on you.
Maybe you're exploring other career opportunities.
But what do you do in the meantime? You're at this job. You are miserable. Let's not even talk about Monday mornings.
You probably feel it helps to talk about it. Have your friends agree with you. See the injustice of it all. Your feelings are right on, however, talking and living in this will perpetuate the bad feelings until you plummet. This is never a good thing. So i want you to stop doing that.
Here's what I want you to do instead.
I want you to find one (1) thing you like about each task you do. Don't resist this. I know you can find one thing. Maybe it's the kind of mundane task that doesn't require a lot of stress. Maybe you get to work with one other person you enjoy. Maybe you did get thrown a new task but once you've got it under your belt, you can throw it on your resume.
Keep going...
What will start to happen is you will begin to feel a tiny bit better. And then better still. After a while you won't mind the tasks. You won't mind the job. As much.
And when you're in this good head space, great things will happen for you.
