When opportunity comes knocking, sometimes it looks like a burden or challenge, and the only thing you want to do is run like hell in the other direction. But before you do that, I'd like to suggest you step back and take the helicopter view, and ask yourself:
Is there a skill I can learn from this dreadful new task?
Are there people I get to work with that can help me learn something new?
Will this new responsibility require me to grow?
So before you say "no" to opportunity, think about what you might get out of it to put in your tool box.This awful new task that's been dumped in your lap might just be an opportunity in disguise.
