You've Got to Have a Dream...

So, anyone who know me, knows I live in the world of musical theatre. My analogies are not the typical "driving" or "sports" analogies. Nope. They're musical theatre which always leaves friends smiling, shaking their heads, and saying "there she goes again."

Which leads me to my thought for the day.

One of the older musicals I love is South Pacific. It left such mark on my soul. The debonair French older man (hmm, I love everything French, and Bob was 12 years older than me). The messages of diversity and racism (hmm, I am a staunch liberal). The far away island (hmm, I love the romance of travel).

But the most valuable nugget was one song, "Happy Talk." The mother of the girl is helping the two young lovers find a way to communicate with each other, but the message goes much deeper for me. I often find myself singing this around the house, in the shower, to the cats...And it's become part of my philosophy as I coach others to create the life they want.

"Happy, Happy, Happy, Happy Talk.

Talk about things you like to do.

You got to have a dream,

If you don't have a dream.

How you gonna have a dream come true?

If you don't talk happy. And you never have a dream.

Then you never have a dream come true."

These words are so beautiful, so right, so true.

We really are molded by the things we hear.

The words, the songs that fill our hearts.

What words have impacted you in a positive way? Are they from a favorite poem, book, song, play, something someone said?

What is your Dream? How are you making it come true?

If you want to go a little deeper into making your dreams a reality & creating the life you want, take a look at three workshops I offer. For each, we explore 10 themes in 5 sessions. They are:

"Design Your Life"

"Rewrite Your Script. Rewrite Your Life"

"Going Beyond Thank You"

If you're intrigued and want to hear more, let's connect.

And, please share with the people in your world. Their dreams should come true too.
